1994 Water Conservation Plant Trickling Filter Upgrade Project

Construction of four 180 foot diameter trickling filter mechanisms, pump station and the effluent pipeline.

  Construction of the 180 foot diameter trickling filter mechanism and the effluent pipeline.  

Construction of the new effluent pipeline required movement through existing utilities which needed to remain online.

  Installation of the high rate plastic media.   Completed installation of the high rate plastic media and rotary mast distributor.  
   

     
 

Retrofitting the existing flow control box no. 1 wall spool.

 

Retrofitting the existing flow control and meter vault box and the effluent pipeline.

  Inspecting the concrete forms prior to placement of concrete for the filter pump station.   Inspecting the pumps prior to acceptance.  
   

     
  Construction required installation of heavy beam shoring for trench safety and protection for workers.  

Removal of the steel plate and beam shoring system with 150 ton hydraulic hammer and crane.

  Removal of the steel plate and beam shoring system with 150 ton hydraulic hammer and crane.   Inspecting the center column of the rotary mast distributor prior to placement.
