Project Management and Construction Inspection
As resident engineer, Watson Consulting Engineers (WCE) has supervised onsite
project construction management services. Duties have included all facets of services
required to monitor construction activities, provide design overview, and
facilitate the successful completion of the project. Specific duties have
been to preside over progress meetings and to document specific actions, to
quantify construction activities relative to pay requests, coordinate Request
For Information (RFIs), resolve/negotiate contractor's request for change in
conditions (Change Orders), and keep the owner informed of project issues.
Other resident engineering duties include facilitating shop drawing reviews and
design issues with the engineer. We have been responsible for managing civil, mechanical, electrical,
instrumentation, and specialty inspectors to provide a high degree of
documentation and monitor quality of workmanship of the contractor's
work. WCE's participation has been instrumental in the success of several of the
projects shown on this web site.
