California State University Channel Islands East Campus Recycled Water Project

Purpose: To provide Title 22 Water Recycled water from a tertiary disinfected wastewater effluent to the University for irrigation and landscape needs. The use of the recycled water is approximately one fifth the cost of Class 1 water from the California aqueduct and /or groundwater pumped from the local community. A Joint effort between the Camrosa Water District and the California State University Channel Islands.

PROJECT COMPONENTS: EFFLUENT PUMPS, C905 PVC FORCEMAIN, CONTROL VALVES, DUCTILE IRON FITTINGS AND PIPE SECTION, ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS UTILITY VAULT BOXES, INSTRUMENTATION CONTROL AND EXTENSIVE STRUCTURAL REHABILITATION TO EXISTING CONCRETE RESERVOIR, CAST IRON PIPELINE AND INFRASTRUCTURE.
